A Tough Decision…

Well, after over five years in the digital scrapbooking business, it's come time for me to close ScrapArtist.

This was not an easy decision for me to make. I feel sad today but also at peace with my decision. The site grew so big so fast and even with all the help I had, it got to be too much for me. I prefer designing so I'll be re-focusing my efforts in that direction and will be using this blog and my website, nancierowejanitz.com as my new digital residence.

There is so much that I'm proud of! The concept I dreamed up five years ago, the amazing people that I've worked with over the years who built SA up from a tiny one-woman shop to what it is today and especially what ScrapArtist represented in the community. I think we were an eclectic group of artists but above all we were authentic. I am really proud of that. Through all the growth, we managed to continue to project the small-boutique atmosphere that was my original vision. I am going to miss all of you wonderful girls, but I know we'll be "seeing" each other online!

We will be closing ScrapArtist effective Sept. 15th, but will be available for any outstanding customer issues until the 20th.

**Important***: If you are currently enrolled in Amanda's Inside the ScrapArtist Studio, she'll be hosting this workshop at her own site, AmandaRockwell.com, after next week. Currently Amanda is in the process of adding her students to the new location. We'll have more information for you next week with a link and log-in instructions, please make sure your email addresses are up to date in the forums for that extra information.

We have so enjoyed creating and inspiring these past few years and we thank you for your friendships and patronage!

Much Love!

One Little Word

I've decided to join Ali's One Little Word Challenge this year. My word for 2010 is PEACE.

The concept behind it is to give myself something to focus on throughout the year. I think I am going to print this out and put it in my office so I'll be constantly reminded of my goal.

This layout was done for ScrapArtist's Weekend Workshop Layout challenge. Thank you sweet Gabi for your constant inspiration!

I came back from the Digital Scrapbook Experience in Provo full of ideas and energy. I loved meeting all my online buddies in real life. There is simply no words to tell you what it feels like! Teaching the ladies (and one man!) there how to digi-scrap was an absolute blast. It was incredibly satisfying to watch the things we were teaching them click, to see the light bulbs go on overhead and especially to witness their excitement in being able to create a layout quickly and easily using quickpages & templates. Thank you to our students for being so laid back and fun. Here are a few shots that were not posted on the blog or Facebook

Here I am with Anna Aspnes (a truly beautiful person)

My remote office is now in Northville, Michigan at the Tuscan Café! {Remind me to add the address it to my SA letterhead} Okay I don't have company letterhead, but if I did, I would so be adding it.

I can drop Ellie off to school and come here. They have free internet, amazing coffee, yummy baked goods and grilled sandwiches. And they use all Zingerman's goodies to make it! How can it get any better than this?

I really feel my dad with me today since I posted his memorial video on FB. The coolest thing is while I was at the coffee shop today I saw this….

My dad owned his own Twin Pines delivery business for almost 20 years! With the milk truck in our driveway we were able to go get ice cream and chips whenever we wanted! Plus the neighbors used to come over to buy milk & bread from him late on Sunday nights when all the stores were closed. I grew with Milky The Clown.

I love you daddy! I miss you!
